airWales was created by Carl Kendrick, a flight simulation enthusiast with more than 25 years in the hobby.
What began as a single Welsh airline livery for flight simulation content grew into something much bigger: a virtual airline, a growing network and, most importantly, a community.
With Cardiff at its heart, airWales gives pilots the chance to operate from an airport often overlooked by other virtual airlines, while celebrating our Welsh identity and paying homage to the original real-world Air Wales.
We’re serious enough to make the flying rewarding, but we’re here because flight simulation should be fun. Whatever simulator you use, however experienced you are, and whether you fly online or offline, there’s a place for you at airWales.
